Candles Wrapped in Bojagi and Norigae Tassels Revealed on Social Media
Grand Wedding in Paris
"Timeless Classic and Elegance Were the Goals"
Korean-American Dahye Jung, who married a descendant of the French luxury brand Givenchy's founding family, drew attention by revealing the wedding favors given to guests after her ceremony.
On the 25th, Jung shared the gifts presented to the wedding guests through her social media account. The revealed photo showed candles wrapped in traditional Korean silk bojagi and norigae tassels. The tassel ornament placed atop the white bojagi reflected the bride's heritage and personal taste.

Jung wrote, "This is a gift I truly love," and added, "I wanted to capture a sense of Korean sentiment."
Previously, British and French media outlets reported that Jung and Sean Taffin de Givenchy held a grand three-day wedding ceremony in August at the Sainte-Clotilde Basilica in Paris. The basilica is known to be owned by the Givenchy family, and several family members attended the wedding.
The couple first met in 2018 at a freshman orientation at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and married after seven years of dating.
Sean, a direct descendant of the Givenchy founding family, currently works as a senior commercial finance analyst at Christie's auction house. Jung, who was born in Seoul, grew up in the United States and Canada and earned her MBA from Columbia University. She is currently working at Taffin, a bespoke jewelry brand run by Sean's uncle, James de Givenchy. Both the engagement and wedding rings are known to be custom-made by Taffin.
Additionally, the wedding dress Jung wore during the ceremony was designed by Korean-American designer Andrew Kwon, and the dress she wore at the opening event was reportedly from the Victoria Beckham brand.
Regarding the wedding preparations, Jung stated, "The goal for this wedding was timeless classic style and Parisian elegance," adding, "I gathered materials every week and created over 100 vision boards, and the planner perfectly reflected my vision."
Givenchy was founded in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy and gained worldwide fame after actress Audrey Hepburn frequently wore the brand. Even after being acquired by the LVMH Group in 1988, the Givenchy family has continued to wield influence in the fashion industry.
