The prevention training on the four major types of violence was led by Heo Jiweon, a registered instructor at the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education and the head of Gender Lab, who delivered a lecture on enhancing gender sensitivity and creating a violence-free organizational culture.
During the subsequent disability awareness training, participants watched an educational video produced by the Korea Disabled People's Development Institute and learned about the evolving concept of "disability" over time and the key points of the "Act on the Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities."
Chairman Park Kyosang emphasized, "For all council members to carry out responsible legislative activities that meet the expectations of citizens, a proper sense of values and human rights sensitivity must be the foundation," adding, "Through this training, we will further expand a violence-free, human rights-respecting organizational culture."
