Gijang County, Busan to Conduct "2025 Population and Housing Census" for 28 Days

Survey Targets 14,381 Sample Households Until November 18

Gijang County (Governor Jeong Jongbok) will conduct the "2025 Population and Housing Census" over a 28-day period until November 18.

This census is a large-scale national statistical survey that collects comprehensive information on population, households, and housing, and serves as fundamental data for the formulation of policies by the national and local governments.

The Population and Housing Census is conducted every five years in accordance with Article 33 of the Statistics Act, and all collected data is used solely for statistical purposes. In this survey, all Korean and foreign residents, as well as dwellings within sample survey districts-representing approximately 20% of the entire Gijang County-will be surveyed. The total number of households amounts to 14,381.

For this census, Gijang County will deploy a total of 86 personnel, including 11 survey managers and 75 enumerators (including 7 reserves). The survey consists of 42 items: 31 related to population and 11 related to households. Detailed statistics reflecting regional characteristics and living conditions will be collected.

The survey will first be conducted remotely, via the internet and telephone, from October 22 to 31. Households subject to the survey can easily participate using the participation number provided in the advance notice sent to them. For households that do not respond, enumerators will visit in person and conduct interviews from November 1 to 18.
