Good Neighbors announced on the 24th that it had received a memorial donation from the bereaved family of the late actress Kim Sumi on the first anniversary of her passing. At the 'Late Kim Sumi Memorial Donation Ceremony' held the previous day, actress Seo Hyorim and her husband attended as representatives of the bereaved family.

The donation was raised from the royalties of the book "I Accuse: About Everything That Kills Me," which is a collection of the late actress's diaries. Good Neighbors plans to use the 'Late Kim Sumi Scholarship Support Project' to provide scholarships and living expenses to children from families in crisis in Korea.

Actress Seo Hyorim, the daughter-in-law, said, "When I published my mother-in-law's diaries as a book, I planned to donate the proceeds in accordance with her wishes," and added, "I hope this will be an opportunity for her warm heart, which always cared for children and neighbors in need, to be shared with the world."

With this donation, the late actress has been registered as a member of the Good Neighbors legacy donor group, 'The Neighbors Legacy Club.' Good Neighbors also plans to operate an online memorial and tribute space so that her spirit of sharing will be remembered for a long time.

Jeon Miseon, Vice Secretary General of Good Neighbors, stated, "The late actress Kim Sumi's cheerful and warm smile still remains in the memories of many," and added, "We will do our utmost to carry on her noble intentions so that children can grow up healthy and bright."
