An Interactive Festival for Citizens and Small Business Owners
Boosting Vitality in the Local Economy
Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province (Mayor Chung Kimyung) announced on the 24th that it will hold the "2025 Yeosu City Small Business Owners' Day Power Up Festival" at Ungcheon Waterfront Park on the 26th.
This event is designed to commend the hard work of small business owners who have contributed to revitalizing the local economy and to share the spirit of mutual prosperity with citizens. It is hosted by Yeosu City and organized by the Yeosu City Small Business Owners Association.
The festival will feature a variety of programs, including a flea market, hands-on booths, performances, and an awards ceremony. The opening ceremony will begin with a pre-event performance by a local arts group, followed by a congratulatory speech from the mayor, an award presentation for exemplary small business owners, and a commemorative photo session.
In addition, there will be product exhibition and experience booths for small businesses, citizen participation events, and celebratory performances to further energize the local commercial district. A promotional booth for the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo will also be operated at the venue.
An official from Yeosu City stated, "This festival will be an interactive event where citizens and small business owners come together to experience the vitality of the local economy," adding, "We hope it will provide an opportunity for small business owners to make a fresh leap forward and become a warm venue for mutual support, with citizens cheering them on."
