Jeongseon Women's New Work Center Receives Enthusiastic Response
Healing Horticulture Experience by Vocational Training Club
and Local Resource-Based Entrepreneurship Activities

Jeongseon County in Gangwon Province announced that the Jeongseon Women's New Work Center participated in the '2025 Gangwon Women's Employment and Entrepreneurship Festa' held at the Wonju National Sports Center on the 22nd, receiving a highly positive response.

At this event, the New Work Center attracted significant attention from participants by presenting a healing horticulture experience program run by the 'Maeumkkot Club', which was formed through vocational training, as well as promotional activities for entrepreneurship utilizing local resources.


A total of four companies participated in the experience zone. In particular, the 'Flowerpot Making Experience', held as a talent donation by the Maeumkkot Club in the Career Development Zone, was met with an enthusiastic response from many participants.


Participants had the opportunity to plant and decorate their own plants, creating their own miniature gardens. They responded positively, saying the experience gave them a sense of psychological stability and accomplishment.


In the Entrepreneurship Challenge Zone, three companies from Jeongseon County operated unique booths utilizing local resources. Aribueok Brewery showcased a Makgeolli DIY kit that offered a modern reinterpretation of traditional liquor culture, highlighting the potential for creating added value with local agricultural products. Boda introduced Gondre Yanggaeng, a health food made with gondre, a Jeongseon specialty, drawing interest from visitors. Yemisanghoe operated a hands-on booth that combined eco-friendly consumption and entrepreneurial ideas, featuring an 'Eco-bag Decorating Experience' and an exhibition of handmade products.


All of these companies represent the network of women entrepreneurs and small business owners in Jeongseon County, and their participation in the Festa served as an opportunity to inspire women in the province to take on the challenge of entrepreneurship.


Kim Deokgi, Director of Family Happiness at Jeongseon County, stated, "The Jeongseon Women's New Work Center's participation was a meaningful opportunity to showcase local women's entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to pursue employment. We will continue to promote various support policies so that women can maintain their careers and achieve a harmonious work-life balance within the community."
