Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province is launching the operation of the "Digital Medical Innovation Task Force" to lead the future of regional healthcare. Chuncheon City (Mayor Yuk Donghan) will hold the "Chuncheon City Digital Regional Medical Innovation Task Force Advisory Meeting" in the city hall's main conference room on the 28th.

This meeting aims to explore the direction of digital transformation in regional healthcare. Sixteen experts from various fields, including Lee Jonggu, Chairman of the National Cancer Center, as well as Kangwon National University Hospital, Hallym University, Chuncheon Senior Citizens Hospital, Chuncheon Bioindustry Promotion Agency, and Gangwon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency, will attend.

The city believes that a new healthcare model based on digital health technologies is necessary to address local issues such as the increase in medically vulnerable populations, decreased accessibility to healthcare services in townships and rural areas, and the surging demand for remote health management.

In this context, the meeting will share the current status of the "AI and IoT-based Senior Health Management Project" being promoted by the Chuncheon City Public Health Center and the realities faced by local healthcare institutions. Based on these discussions, participants will focus on identifying the direction and collaboration strategies for Chuncheon-style digital regional healthcare.

A city official stated, "Digital medical innovation is a key task for safeguarding citizens' health and ensuring the sustainability of regional healthcare," adding, "We hope this advisory meeting will yield practical action plans."
