Unclaimed Prizes from the 1,150th Lotto Draw
One First Prize and Three Second Prizes Remain Unclaimed
The first and second prize winnings from the Lotto have yet to be claimed. In about 50 days, all unclaimed prize money will be transferred to the lottery fund.
According to Donghaeng Lottery, the lottery operator (CEO Hong Deokgi), as of October 24, the deadline for claiming the first and second prize winnings from the 1,150th Lotto draw, held on December 14 last year, is about 50 days away. The deadline for claiming these prizes is December 15 this year.
There are a total of four unclaimed prizes from the 1,150th draw: one first prize and three second prizes. The unclaimed first prize amounts to 1,570,620,309 won, and the winning numbers are '8, 9, 18, 35, 39, 45'. This ticket was purchased at a lottery retailer in Jung-gu, Daejeon.
The unclaimed second prize from the same draw amounts to 19,690,668 won, with the winning numbers '8, 9, 18, 35, 39, 45' and the bonus number '25'. These tickets were sold at lottery retailers in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province; Wonju-si, Gangwon Province; and Nam-gu, Pohang-si, North Gyeongsang Province.
The deadline for claiming lottery prizes is within one year from the payment start date. After this period, the prize money is no longer paid to individuals and is instead used for public interest projects such as housing support for low-income households, scholarship programs, and cultural heritage protection.
Over the past five years (2020-2024), there have been 30,760,000 unclaimed Lotto prizes, totaling 228.3 billion won. Among these, the most common are unclaimed fifth prizes (each worth 5,000 won), with a total of 15.07 million won reverting to the lottery fund. As of August this year, unclaimed lottery winnings have reached 45 billion won.
