Four Zones Including AI, Environment, and World Cultures to Be Operated
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Kyohun), will hold the 12th Dream JOB and the 8th Parent Career JOB events at Banghwa Neighborhood Park from October 24 to 25. This year’s event is themed “A Future with AI.” The purpose is to provide students with opportunities to explore career paths and to help them concretely plan their futures.
A total of 148 booths will be set up at the event. On the first day, around 3,500 first-year middle school students participating in the free semester system will attend. On the second day, approximately 3,000 elementary, middle, and high school students, along with their parents, will participate. Each day’s program will open at the Banghwa Neighborhood Park multipurpose area with a saxophone performance, a classical song recital, and a stage featuring a middle school dance club.
Following this, the “Slow Mailbox” event will feature the “Dream Postcard” program, where participants write letters to their future selves. One year later, they will receive their postcards and have the opportunity to reflect on their personal growth.
The experience booths are divided into four zones: ▲AI & Environment ▲Creation & Learning ▲World Cultures ▲Our Values. More than 110 organizations, including public institutions, schools, and companies, will participate.
In the “AI & Environment Zone,” visitors can experience future technologies such as drone equipment, AI robot dogs, and 3D body scanning. The “Creation & Learning Zone” offers hands-on experiences with various professions, including leather and glass crafts, social workers, and airline cabin crew. The “World Cultures Zone” allows participants to experience diverse cultures from countries such as Japan, Vietnam, and those in Africa, helping to foster a global perspective. In the “Our Values Zone,” programs such as the Silent Blindfold Train and Wheelchair Mission will teach the meaning of community and the importance of consideration for others.
