Seoul Energy Corporation (President Hwang Boyeon) has launched an eco-friendly energy experiential education program for future generations as part of its efforts to realize ESG values.
On October 24 and 25, the corporation will operate an eco-friendly energy experience and promotional booth at the 12th Gangseo Dream Job Festival and the 8th Parent-Child Career Festival, held at Banghwa Neighborhood Park in Gangseo District. The event aims to provide local youth with opportunities to explore career paths and to raise awareness about the importance of energy transition and carbon neutrality.
The experiential program includes activities such as "Making a Mini Solar-Powered Car," which teaches the principles of solar power generation, and "Creating My Own Storybook" using recycled children's books. These activities are designed to help participating students naturally learn about the concepts and values of eco-friendly energy through play and hands-on experience.
A representative from the corporation stated, "This experiential education program will be a valuable opportunity for future generations to directly feel and learn about the importance of eco-friendly energy," adding, "We will continue to expand educational donations and community-linked programs to promote ESG practices and create social value."
Seoul Energy Corporation is a local public enterprise under the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Through its district energy business, which simultaneously produces heat and electricity, as well as renewable energy projects, the corporation is working to achieve Seoul's energy self-sufficiency and carbon neutrality.
