This program was designed to enhance the expertise of practicing physical therapists in the Busan region and to spread next-generation treatment strategies that combine artificial intelligence and digital transformation technologies into clinical practice.
The course, which was attended by 16 active physical therapists, focused on hands-on training in the latest clinical techniques, including anatomical and biomechanical understanding of the Shoulder Complex, functional movement screening (FMS), electromyography and range of motion analysis, and big data-based interpretation of motor function. Through this, participants significantly improved their abilities in AI-based patient assessment and the development of personalized treatment plans.
Local medical experts, including Lee Semin from Taeheungdang Hospital, Jung Eunchan from Narsha Hospital, and Yuk Seongi from Rheuma Pyeonhan Internal Medicine Clinic, participated as instructors, sharing their extensive clinical experience and real-world case studies.
Physical therapist Lee Semin commented, "This program was not just about delivering knowledge, but provided an opportunity to acquire practical treatment strategies that integrate AI and data analysis. I believe it will help raise the standard of care in the field."
Jung Jaeyoon, a physical therapist at Parkside Rehabilitation Hospital, also shared, "The biggest gain was learning digital-based assessments and personalized strategies beyond conventional treatment methods. It was especially practical, allowing for immediate application to elderly patients or those with chronic shoulder conditions."
Kwon Yujeong, Deputy Director of the RISE Project Group at Dong-Eui University of Science, stated, "In the era of AI and digital transformation, it is extremely important for regional physical therapists to acquire new expertise for the improvement of community health and the development of the healthcare industry. We will continue to develop and operate customized training programs for working professionals that reflect the needs of industry and the field."
