Collaboration to Nurture Talent in the Field of Collaborative Robotics

Pukyong National University (President Bae Sanghoon) and Doosan Robotics (CEO Kim Minpyo) signed a partnership agreement on October 23 to designate the university as a collaborative robot consignment training institution.

With this agreement, the two organizations will officially begin operating advanced robotics education programs and training practical professionals. This is expected to open a new chapter in cultivating robotics talent to lead future industries.

On the afternoon of October 23, the two organizations held a signing ceremony for the partnership agreement on collaborative robot consignment training at the 6th floor of Gaon Hall, Pukyong National University, and agreed to cooperate in nurturing practical talent in the robotics field with a focus on industrial sites.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on the joint development of collaborative robot education programs and the operation of hands-on, practice-oriented training using specialized equipment.

The collaborative robot consignment training institution established on the 6th floor of Gaon Hall at Pukyong National University will offer field-oriented training courses focusing on collaborative robot technologies with high applicability in industrial settings, targeting both current students and employees from industry.

Doosan Robotics, the leading company in the domestic collaborative robot sector, designated Pukyong National University as its official consignment training institution to promote the industrial adoption of collaborative robot technology and foster professional talent, and subsequently signed this agreement.

Pukyong National University will operate the consignment training institution through its Intelligent Robot Innovation Convergence College Project Group (Director Lee Kyungchang). This project group, which is carrying out the Ministry of Education’s advanced field innovation convergence university project-a national strategic initiative-has been establishing a joint education system between the university and industry centered on intelligent robotics, thereby nurturing next-generation talent for the robotics industry.

With this agreement, Pukyong National University is expected to become a leading educational hub for the robotics industry in the Yeongnam region, while Doosan Robotics is anticipated to further strengthen its position as a core company in the domestic collaborative robot sector.
