The Institute of Healing and Happiness Convergence at Dongguk University will co-host a meditation workshop on mindfulness education with the Korea Institute of Meditation and Psychological Counseling on October 26 at the Gosuncheong Seminar Room in Hyehwa Hall on campus.

This workshop will be led in person by Christopher Willard, a professor at Harvard Medical School who has been promoting mindfulness education worldwide.
Professor Willard is a clinical psychologist and mindfulness education consultant who has developed and distributed a variety of programs for children, adolescents, and teachers. He is known to Korean readers for his books and translations, including "ABC Breathing Games" and "How Can I Help My Child’s Mind Grow Like My Own?".
The workshop will cover the following: understanding the basic concepts of mindfulness, hands-on experience with mindfulness meditation techniques, self-care for parents and educators, and strategies that take into account children's developmental stages and individual characteristics.
Additionally, the workshop will be available online via Zoom, allowing remote participation.
