This agreement is a follow-up to the establishment advisory contract signed with the SL Foundation in April last year. Bundang Seoul National University Hospital will provide comprehensive consulting services for the SL Foundation’s new health screening center in LA, covering areas such as opening preparations, center operations, clinical collaboration, staff training, and the development of health screening programs.
The contract signing ceremony, held on the 22nd in the main conference room of Bundang Seoul National University Hospital in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, was attended by Kim Youngtae, President of Seoul National University Hospital; Song Junghan, President of Bundang Seoul National University Hospital; Park Dowon, Chairman of SL Preventive Medical Center; Jung Sanggyo, CEO of SL Preventive Medical Center; and about 20 representatives from both organizations.
The hospital plans to leverage the strengths of the Korean health screening system to develop programs capable of integrated early diagnosis of serious diseases such as cancer, stroke, and heart disease. Additionally, it aims to establish a system that connects patients wishing to receive treatment in Korea to Bundang Seoul National University Hospital.
President Kim stated, "It is an honor for the Seoul National University Hospital Group to continuously participate in the establishment and operation of the LA Health Screening Center. We will do our utmost to support the opening of a health screening center that embodies the philosophies and visions of both organizations, going beyond simple consulting cooperation."
President Song added, "We will share our experience and expertise to help the LA Health Screening Center establish stable roots in the United States. Through Korean-style health screenings that offer high-quality services at reasonable costs, we will strive to widely promote the excellence of Korean healthcare."
Chairman Park commented, "I am confident that, based on the expertise and experience of the Seoul National University Hospital Group, the LA Health Screening Center will become a trusted medical institution in the local community. I am pleased that, through this contract, we can provide high-quality medical services not only to the Korean community but also to American citizens."
Meanwhile, the LA Korean-style Health Screening Center is scheduled to be established on the first and second floors of the 'Logos Tower' in Los Angeles, owned by the SL Foundation, with a total area of 4,000 square meters (approximately 1,200 pyeong). As the first large-scale Korean-style one-stop health screening center in the United States, it is currently undergoing remodeling with the goal of opening in October next year.
