On October 22, President Lee wrote on Facebook, "I remember the pain of the people who lost their families and homes due to the unprecedented large-scale wildfires last March," expressing his commitment.

He also urged all relevant agencies to work together as one team. President Lee stated, "The key to wildfires is an overwhelming initial response," and emphasized, "Not only the Korea Forest Service, but also the military, fire departments, police, and all related agencies must cooperate closely as a single team."

President Lee further introduced that on this day, a joint integrated wildfire suppression training was conducted by relevant government ministries, and for the first time, a large number of military helicopters were deployed.

He also stressed the need to further strengthen cooperation among related organizations and to enhance initial wildfire suppression capabilities. President Lee said, "Above all, prevention is most important," and added, "Most wildfires start from carelessness in daily life. Please refrain from activities that can cause sparks, such as burning rice fields or paddies, illegal waste incineration, or using brush cutters and welding equipment."
