Recruitment of Cooking Competition Evaluation Panel and Baking Experience Participants
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province will host the "2025 Pyeongtaek Food Culture Festival" at the Agricultural Ecology Park on October 25.
The festival will feature a variety of programs, including a national cooking competition, tasting and experience booths for local Pyeongtaek restaurants and international cuisine, a no-oven baking experience booth, and a carbon neutrality practice and promotion booth.
A total of 18 teams, including 10 teams in the general category and 8 teams in the family category, will compete in the finals of the national cooking competition.
The city is also recruiting a citizen on-site evaluation panel for the competition. On October 24, 20 people each for the general and family categories will be randomly selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone who is a high school student or older is eligible to apply.
The city will also recruit 12 teams to participate in the baking experience led by master baker In Jae-hong. Interested participants can apply on a first-come, first-served basis via the official Pyeongtaek Arts Association blog or the Naver form on the Pyeongtaek City Hall website on October 24.
On the day of the festival, Pyeongtaek branch president Park Seong-yong of the Korea Bakery Association will host two baking experience sessions. For each session, 12 teams will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis at the venue.
