World Coffee Bean Festival to Be Held at Eungye Lake Park in Siheung on November 1-2

Free Coffee Tasting from Major Coffee-Producing Countries

The 3rd World Coffee Bean Festival will be held for two days, from November 1 to 2, at Eungye Lake Park in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province.

Hosted and organized by the Haerotoro International Environmental Culture Project Group and sponsored by Siheung City, this festival invites embassies and farms from coffee-producing countries, as well as local cafes, to offer visitors the opportunity to sample dozens of different coffees for free.

The main programs of the festival include: ▲World coffee farm demonstrations and tasting events ▲Local hot place cafe tasting sessions ▲A coffee-themed goods flea market called 'Kongkong Market' ▲A coffee grounds recycling experience program titled 'Coffee ESG Program', among others.

The festival will also feature a variety of stage events such as: ▲Demonstrations by World Coffee Championship (WCC) winners ▲A coffee history docent program ▲An Ethiopian coffee ceremony ▲A coffee quiz contest ▲The World Coffee Music Festa ▲The Siheung Music Festival, and more.

Additionally, the Social Economy Expo, organized by the Siheung Social Economy Support Center, will be held during the festival.

Prior to the festival, the city held a preliminary event, the 1st Turtle Island World Coffee Forum, on October 11 at the Wave M Hotel on Turtle Island. In addition, throughout October, the 3rd World Coffee Championship (WCC) is taking place at Siheung ABC Happy Learning Town and Daeya Lifelong Learning Center.

A city official stated, "We hope that through this festival, where people can experience coffee and cultures from around the world in one place, Siheung will establish itself as a true city of coffee culture."

Meanwhile, last year's World Coffee Bean Festival featured the participation of embassies and coffee farms from 13 countries.
