Dunamu, the operator of the virtual asset exchange Upbit, announced on October 22 that its investment information platform, Securities Plus, has launched a new 'Newsroom' tab to help investors respond swiftly to market fluctuations.
Securities Plus introduced the Newsroom tab by applying its proprietary machine learning (ML) algorithm. This algorithm comprehensively evaluates the importance, urgency, and market impact of news articles, prioritizing those most likely to influence the market. The company explained, "Unlike platforms that simply provide widely reported or highly searched articles, our distinguishing feature is delivering news that can genuinely assist in investment decision-making."
The Newsroom consists of two sections: 'Breaking' and 'Key News.' In particular, the Breaking section does not merely list headlines, but analyzes news that could impact the market and provides a headline along with a three-line summary. Additionally, the clustering feature groups similar news articles together, and the 'Key Breaking' highlight makes it easier for investors to prioritize their responses.
The Key News section delivers an overview of the stock market trends. It offers the 'Top 5 Core News in 24 Hours' that had the greatest influence on the market each day, with each article displaying related stock names and price change rates.
A Dunamu representative stated, "It is not easy to check all the news and determine its importance in a constantly changing market," adding, "Newsroom addresses this limitation and will serve as a core function and foundation for Securities Plus to become a true investment information platform." The Securities Plus Newsroom is available on both the mobile app and the website.
