Korean dental clinics are emerging as a new trend among foreign tourists.
On October 21, travel platform Creatrip (CEO Lim Hyemin) announced, "The transaction volume in the dental category for the third quarter of this year increased by approximately 588% compared to the same period last year, driving the global expansion of Korean dental treatments."
During the same period, the number of partner clinics also grew by about 83%, leading to an increase in affiliated clinics on the platform. Creatrip explained, "The surge in foreign tourist inflow is attributed to the combination of Korea's globally recognized advanced dental services and the convenience of booking and payment benefits provided through Creatrip."
The nationalities of foreigners booking dental tourism packages through Creatrip have become significantly more diverse over the past year. In addition to the platform's core customer base from Asian countries and the United States, new customers from Turkey, Australia, and various European regions have begun to use the service. The transaction volume from European tourists increased by about 565%, while the figure for North America, including the United States and Canada, soared by approximately 3,478%, marking the steepest growth.
The most popular dental services were scaling and teeth whitening procedures. Both in Asia and North America, teeth whitening and scaling were the most frequently booked services. Creatrip is focusing on sales by offering event promotions and package deals for these services.
Lim Hyemin, CEO of Creatrip, stated, "We are continuously working to identify excellent medical partners to provide foreign tourists with an even better travel experience in Korea," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our platform's competitiveness so that Korea can firmly establish itself as a leading global dental tourism destination in line with this dental tourism trend."
