Cheongyang General Industrial Complex, Equipped with Three Key Advantages:
Iksan-Pyeongtaek Expressway Access, Bold Subsidies, and Improved Living Conditions
Aiming to Become the Core Hub of the West Coast Industrial Belt
Cheongyang County in South Chungcheong Province has officially begun promoting the competitiveness of the Cheongyang General Industrial Complex and attracting businesses by participating in 'Seoul ADEX 2025,' the largest aerospace and defense exhibition in Korea. With its threefold advantages of transportation, location, and incentives, the Cheongyang Industrial Complex is emerging as a new strategic hub for the West Coast industrial belt.
On October 21, Cheongyang County announced that it is actively promoting the excellent location and investment incentives of the Cheongyang General Industrial Complex at 'Seoul ADEX 2025 (International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition),' which is being held at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang City through October 24.
The Cheongyang General Industrial Complex, currently under development on a total area of 220,000 pyeong, is making smooth progress with its infrastructure construction, aiming for completion by the end of 2027.
In particular, the recent opening of the Iksan-Pyeongtaek Expressway has significantly improved accessibility to the Seoul metropolitan area, thereby enhancing logistics efficiency. The complex has also become more attractive to investors due to its reasonable land prices, bold subsidies, and substantial tax benefits.
The county plans to develop the industrial complex as a specialized manufacturing cluster focused on materials, components, and equipment, aiming to establish it as a strategic core of the West Coast industrial belt.
Through these efforts, Cheongyang County is actively working to attract advanced manufacturing companies in aerospace, defense, and precision machinery sectors.
Additionally, to address labor shortages at local businesses, the county is proactively improving living conditions by implementing a support system for returning workers, establishing a workforce supply system, and building residential and cultural complexes and dormitories for workers. The goal is to create an industrial ecosystem where welfare, jobs, and housing are integrated, allowing both companies and employees to grow together.
Meanwhile, 'Seoul ADEX 2025' is one of the world's top three aerospace and defense exhibitions, with over 550 companies from four countries participating and approximately 220,000 visitors expected to attend.
At the exhibition, the county has set up an investment promotion booth, distributing brochures and screening promotional videos to highlight the location advantages and growth potential of the Cheongyang General Industrial Complex through a variety of content.
A county official stated, "We will use this exhibition as an opportunity to raise both domestic and international awareness of the Cheongyang General Industrial Complex and accelerate the attraction of anchor companies in the aerospace and defense sectors. Continued corporate investment is expected to generate significant synergies for revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs for young people."
