"Stay One Night in Sancheong and Receive Up to 100,000 Won"
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on October 21 that it will operate the "Overnight Stay in Sancheong!" program. This initiative, aimed at revitalizing the stagnant tourism industry and local economy, offers travel incentives to small groups of tourists.
If two or more tourists from outside the region (based on resident registration) stay at least one night in Sancheong County, they will be reimbursed for half of their travel expenses (up to 100,000 won) in the form of Sancheong Love Gift Certificates.
After staying one night and visiting tourist attractions, tourists who spend at least 100,000 won will receive 50,000 won in Sancheong Love Gift Certificates, while those who spend at least 200,000 won will receive 100,000 won. The requirements for support are a minimum one-night stay, at least one meal at a restaurant, and a visit to designated tourist sites.
To apply, travelers must submit an incentive application form and supporting documents, such as receipts, via email within seven days, including the date their trip ends.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "Every visit to Sancheong this autumn will be a great boost to our community," adding, "We hope this support program will encourage more people to visit Sancheong and help invigorate the local economy."
