Details of Abuse Revealed in Posthumous Memoir
Prince Andrew Relinquishes All Royal Titles
The woman who exposed the sexual crimes of American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein has provided detailed testimony regarding allegations of sexual abuse by Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom in her memoir.
On October 20 (local time), the BBC reported that it had obtained a copy of the late Virginia Giuffre's memoir, "Nobody's Girl," a day before its official release and reviewed its contents. According to the outlet, Giuffre confided in the book that she feared she "might die as a sex slave."
Prince Andrew, the brother of King Charles III, announced on October 17 that he would relinquish his royal titles in the wake of renewed allegations linking him to Epstein's sexual crimes.

In the memoir, Giuffre claims to have had sexual encounters with Prince Andrew on three occasions. She recounts that in March 2001, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's partner and accomplice, told her she would "meet a prince as handsome as Cinderella," and that this was the day she first met Prince Andrew.
At the time, Prince Andrew was 41 years old. According to the memoir, Prince Andrew correctly guessed Giuffre's age and remarked, "My daughters are a little younger than you." Giuffre wrote, "He acted as if he believed it was his birthright, as if he was entitled to it."
The third sexual encounter allegedly took place on an island owned by Epstein, where Giuffre claims there were eight other young women present.
In her 2015 court testimony, Giuffre stated that she was "about 18 years old" at the time and that "all the other girls appeared to be under 18 and did not speak English well."
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew stepped back from royal duties in 2019 due to the scandal. In 2022, he lost his military titles and the honorific "His Royal Highness (HRH)." As further allegations related to Epstein emerged, on October 17, he announced that he would relinquish all royal titles, including the Duke of York, a title traditionally given to the second son of the monarch.
Prince Andrew reached a settlement in 2022 with Giuffre, who had filed a civil lawsuit against him. However, he did not admit to any sexual crimes and reportedly continues to deny all allegations.
