[Weather] Colder Morning Tomorrow... Seoul Feels Like 2°C, Yangju and Paju in Gyeonggi Minus 1°C

The morning of Tuesday, the 21st, is expected to be colder than Monday.


On the morning of the 21st, the lowest temperatures are forecast to range from 1 to 14 degrees Celsius, while the afternoon highs are expected to be between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Strong winds are also expected, making the perceived temperature lower than the actual temperature. In Yangju and Paju, Gyeonggi Province, the morning low is expected to be 1 degree Celsius, with a wind chill dropping to minus 1 degree Celsius.


In Seoul, the morning temperature will fall to 4 degrees Celsius, with a wind chill of 2 degrees Celsius. The afternoon high is expected to remain at 15 degrees Celsius.


The forecasted minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities are as follows: Incheon 4 and 14 degrees, Daejeon 7 and 16 degrees, Gwangju 10 and 16 degrees, Daegu 10 and 18 degrees, Ulsan 13 and 18 degrees, and Busan 14 and 20 degrees Celsius.


Temperatures will remain below the seasonal averages (morning lows 5 to 14 degrees, afternoon highs 19 to 23 degrees) until the 22nd, then rise above average starting on the 23rd. On the 22nd, morning lows and afternoon highs are forecast to be 3 to 14 degrees and 14 to 22 degrees, respectively. On the 23rd, the ranges are expected to be 6 to 15 degrees and 14 to 23 degrees Celsius.


On the 20th, snow accumulated in the highlands of Seoraksan Mountain in Gangwon Province. In the Yeongdong region of Gangwon, rain is expected to continue until the morning of the 21st, while in the east coast and northeastern mountain areas of North Gyeongsang Province and the eastern part of South Gyeongsang Province, rain is expected to persist until late afternoon on the 21st.


Rough seas are expected. Until the 21st, strong winds of 30 to 70 kilometers per hour and waves of 1.5 to 4.0 meters are forecast for the southern part of the West Sea (nearshore), the central part of the West Sea (offshore), the central part of the East Sea, the northern part of the southern East Sea, the waters off Ulsan, and the eastern part of the South Sea (nearshore). For the southern part of the West Sea (offshore, excluding the southern outer offshore), the western part of the southern South Sea (offshore), the western coast of Jeju (nearshore), and the southern inner offshore of Jeju, strong winds and high waves are also expected to persist for the time being.


Attention is advised as wave heights may exceed 5 meters in the southern outer offshore of the West Sea, the southern outer offshore of Jeju, the southern offshore of the southern East Sea, and the eastern offshore of the South Sea.
