for Local Children
The Sejong Fire Headquarters will be holding the "2025 Children's Fire Safety Poster Drawing Contest" until November 21.
This contest aims to raise fire prevention awareness among children and promote a culture of safety. The theme is "Fire Safety - Open Topic," and participants are asked to create hand-drawn posters (size: 39.4×54.5 cm) that express the importance of fire prevention and the spread of a safety culture.
The contest is open to all elementary school students and children aged 12 or younger residing in Sejong City. Entries can be submitted in person at either the Sejong Northern Fire Station or Sejong Southern Fire Station, or sent by mail by November 21. For mailed entries, the postmark deadline is also November 21. Judging will be conducted by a panel of up to five experts, who will evaluate the works based on their effectiveness in promoting fire prevention and a culture of safety.
After the review, the Fire Headquarters plans to select a total of 20 winners: 1 Grand Prize, 3 First Prizes, 6 Gold Prizes, and 10 Silver Prizes. The results will be announced on December 2 on the Sejong Fire Headquarters website, and the awards will be presented either at the fire stations or at individual schools. For more details regarding the contest, please refer to the Sejong Fire Headquarters or each fire station's website.
A representative from the Fire Headquarters stated, "We hope this contest will provide an opportunity for children to learn the importance of fire safety and take the lead in spreading a culture of safety," adding, "We look forward to your interest and participation."
