A Venue for Communication and Unity
Yangsan City, South Gyeongsang Province, announced that the "Small Business Owners' Gathering Festival," held at Yangju Neighborhood Park on October 18, concluded successfully with an enthusiastic response from citizens.
This event, hosted by the Yangsan Small Business Owners Association and sponsored by Yangsan City, was organized as a meaningful occasion for small business owners, who are at the heart of the local economy, and citizens to come together, communicate, and foster unity.
Approximately 500 citizens, including families, participated in the festival, greatly enhancing the festive atmosphere.
In particular, the main program, "Small Business Owner Chefs' Cooking Contest," featured a variety of dishes prepared by local small business owners, captivating the taste buds of both citizens and a panel of expert judges. The winner, Hanwoori, received the President's Award from the Yangsan Small Business Owners Association.
The event also offered a wide range of attractions, including citizen-participation events, experience booths, performances by local artists, a citizen singing contest, and prize drawings, ensuring enjoyment for all ages. Various events with direct citizen involvement received great acclaim, and spaces for experiencing foreign traditional games and costumes also drew attention.
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "It was a meaningful event where small business owners, the backbone of the local economy, and citizens gathered to interact and rediscover the value of the local commercial district." He added, "We will continue to promote practical support and participatory programs to revitalize the local economy."
