The Private School Teachers' Pension Fund announced on October 20, 2025, that it has decided to extend the term of Jeon Beomsik, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the Fund Management Division, by one year.

Jeon, who was appointed as CIO in November 2023, has secured his first reappointment as his contract was set to expire early next month. The CIO term at the Private School Teachers' Pension Fund is two years, and the contract can be extended annually based on performance.
Jeon joined the Private School Teachers' Pension Fund in 1991 and has built his career in the investment analysis team, risk management team, and alternative investment team. Since 2012, he has served as Head of Investment Banking at Hyundai Securities, Head of PI Division and Head of Alternative Investment Business at SK Securities, making him an investment expert with comprehensive experience in fund management.
Regarding the reasons for his reappointment, the Private School Teachers' Pension Fund explained, "During his tenure, he demonstrated inclusive leadership based on a deep understanding of the organization, enhanced the professional capabilities of the investment staff, and established an excellent organizational culture. By expanding alternative investments and implementing strategies to improve asset allocation efficiency, he diversified the investment portfolio and maintained stable returns even amid increased volatility in external financial markets."
Song Hajung, Chairman of the Private School Teachers' Pension Fund, stated, "This reappointment was made to ensure the stability and continuity of fund management. We expect that, based on Jeon's extensive experience in financial markets and his deep understanding of fund management, he will continue to manage the fund stably and effectively."
