A man in his 40s was arrested by police after killing another man in an apartment parking lot due to a family dispute.
On October 19, Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju announced that they had apprehended a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, at the scene on charges of murder for fatally stabbing a man in his 30s.
Mr. A is suspected of stabbing Mr. B with a weapon at around 8:39 a.m. that day in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, resulting in Mr. B's death. Mr. B, who suffered severe injuries from the weapon, was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but later died.
Investigations revealed that Mr. A had Mr. B, who was involved in a family matter with him, come to his residence before committing the crime.
The police, who arrested Mr. A at the scene, plan to apply for an arrest warrant after conducting a thorough investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident.
