Police: Seven, Including Forensic Experts, to Depart for Cambodia Tonight for Autopsy of Korean Student

Police investigators and other officials will depart for Cambodia to conduct an autopsy on a Korean university student who was detained and killed by a local voice phishing organization.

The National Police Agency announced on October 19 that a joint autopsy will be conducted with Cambodian authorities at a temple in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where the body is being kept, around 9 a.m. on October 20.


The National Police Agency stated that seven people, including a forensic pathologist from the National Forensic Service and the investigator in charge, will depart at approximately 6:50 p.m. on the same day to participate in the joint autopsy.


A police official said, "After the autopsy is completed, we will coordinate with Cambodian authorities to promptly proceed with cremation and other necessary procedures so that the remains can be repatriated as quickly as possible."
