According to the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency and the Ulsan branch of the National Plant Construction Workers' Union on October 18, a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, an employee of a partner company who suffered serious injuries (second-degree burns) in the accident the previous day, died during treatment that morning.
The accident occurred at around 10:42 a.m. the previous day in the hydrogen manufacturing process at the plant, where routine maintenance was underway. One person died and four others were injured in the incident.
