Police investigating the murder of a Korean university student in Cambodia have arrested an additional broker involved in recruiting people to open fraudulent bank accounts.
On October 17, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Unit announced that they are questioning a man in his twenties, identified as A, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Prevention of Losses from Telecommunications Financial Fraud and Refund for Victims, among others, for allegedly sending the deceased student, Park (22), to Cambodia.
A is suspected of conspiring with Hong, another man in his twenties who has already been indicted and detained, to send the deceased student Park to Cambodia.
