A program aimed at providing comfort and stability for dementia patients and their families was conducted.
On October 17, the Sejong City Health Center held a healing program for families of dementia patients at the National Sejong Arboretum, with 20 participants including dementia patients and their families.
This event was organized as part of the Sejong City Dementia Relief Center’s family support project, with the goal of supporting the psychological well-being of dementia patients and their families and alleviating the burden of caregiving. Participants toured major attractions of the arboretum on an electric bus accompanied by a professional guide.
In particular, they spent time walking through the Four Seasons Greenhouse, Living Garden, and Palace Garden, fostering communication and restoring relationships among family members.
Kim Sooyoung, Director of the Dementia Relief Center (and Director of the Health Center), stated, "It was a meaningful time for dementia patients and their families to share their hearts and experience harmonious communication together," adding, "We will continue to implement a variety of programs to provide psychological stability and caregiving support in the future."
