Hanmi Group announced on the 17th that over 500 employees participated in volunteer activities for the local community and vulnerable groups during the "52nd Anniversary Volunteer Week," which took place over two weeks starting from September 20.

Hanmi Group Holds 52nd Anniversary Volunteer Week... Realizing 'Respect for Humanity and Value Creation' Braille books and Tentenmat multivitamins delivered to the National Seoul School for the Blind in Jongno-gu, Seoul for visually impaired children. Hanmi Group

During the volunteer week, seven sharing programs were organized: ▲"Hanmi Cleanup!" for workplace environment improvement ▲"Hanmi Hangang Keepers" for clean water and a clean heart ▲"Chuseok Love Hangwa Sharing" for seniors living alone ▲"Goods Donation Campaign" bazaar for multicultural families ▲"Braille Book and Tenten Sharing" for visually impaired children ▲"Love Health Bundle Sharing" for elderly people with hearing impairments ▲"Sweet Sharing, BEE-Happy Project" for those in welfare blind spots.

Hanmi employees participated in a plogging campaign near each business site, including the Hanmi Group headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul, the Hanmi Pharmaceutical R&D Center in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, the Pyeongtaek Bioplant, the Songtan site, and Hanmi Fine Chemical in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province. Volunteer participants formed teams to collect litter from the streets, contributing to a cleaner local environment. In addition, invasive plant species were removed from Amsa Ecological Park in Seoul to help restore the Hangang River environment.

During the Chuseok holiday, Hanmi employees and their families visited the Paengseong-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, to personally deliver 120 sets of handmade Hangwa to seniors living alone.

A goods donation campaign was also held to provide practical support to multicultural families. Hanmi Group, which has fostered a corporate culture of respecting social diversity, has supported youth education in multicultural families in cooperation with the Global Youth Center in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province since 2011. During this volunteer week, employees delivered more than 450 daily necessities and food items, which will be used to support the independence and daily lives of multicultural families.

At the National Seoul School for the Blind in Jongno-gu, Seoul-the first school for the blind in Korea-Hanmi employees delivered 30 Braille books and 150 bottles of Tentenmat multivitamins, which they made themselves, to support the learning and health of visually impaired children.

In the sharing activity for elderly people with hearing impairments, Hanmi employees delivered 100 health bundles to the Cheoum Welfare Center, the first welfare center for the hearing impaired in Korea. The bundles included two types of Hanmi health supplements beneficial for eye and overall health, as well as Hanmi Caremi for balanced nutrition. They also provided volunteer services and education on understanding hearing impairment.

For residents of jjokbangchon (shantytown), 550 bottles of wildflower honey produced at Hanmi Group's corporate apiary were distributed through the "BEE-Happy" project. This program supports beekeeping farms struggling due to declining bee populations, restores bee and plant ecosystems, and donates the honey produced to vulnerable groups-a "triple benefit" social contribution initiative. The honey delivered this time will be provided to jjokbangchon residents through the nonprofit warehouse-style store "Onggi Warehouse."

A Hanmi Group representative stated, "The warm hearts of each and every employee came together to bring warmth to the community, making this anniversary volunteer week especially meaningful." The representative added, "We will continue to carry on our 52-year tradition of 'respect for humanity' and 'value creation,' and further develop a sustainable sharing culture that realizes the value of respect for life."
