ADEX, held biennially, is an international exhibition where major aerospace and defense companies and organizations unveil their technologies and new products. This year, 600 companies from 35 countries will participate, making it the largest event to date.

At this year’s event, KAIA will operate the 'xTM Pavilion' under the theme 'Connecting the Sky and Expanding the Future: The Beginning of New Air Traffic Management.' The exhibition hall will feature future aviation technologies, including AI-powered security screening and aviation maintenance technology, hands-on UAM displays and experiences, and next-generation air traffic management systems.

In particular, in the UAM sector, exhibits will include an electric-powered vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) test vehicle capable of urban operation, early models of urban traffic, operation, and vertiport management systems, and an interactive Virtual Integrated Simulator (VIS) recognized by international organizations such as NASA. KAIA explained that these displays will demonstrate the safe operation of urban airways in the near future.

Additionally, from October 20 to 22, the 'xTM Vision Conference' will be held, bringing together experts from industry, academia, research, and government. The conference will feature a variety of programs, including the International UAM Certification Technology Conference, a roundtable for KPS meter-level service mission control, a drone safety operation technology seminar, sharing of aviation research results involving AI applications, and a public hearing on the Aviation Safety Innovation Technology Development Project.

Kim Jeonghee, President of KAIA, stated, "ADEX is an important opportunity to showcase the competitiveness and growth potential of Korea's aviation technology to both domestic and international stakeholders," adding, "We will bring together the achievements of organizations participating in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's aviation R&D to create a platform for technological exchange."
