Farmers from Hampyeong County, who have established themselves as an innovative model for 'smart agriculture,' have been recognized for their digital marketing competitiveness and will step onto the national stage.
On October 17, Hampyeong County announced that Jung Miyoung, CEO of 'Sigolsonmat,' and Kim Seonjong, CEO of 'Saengalto,' will represent Hampyeong in the national finals of the '2025 Smart Farming Management Innovation Competition,' which will be held at the Rural Development Administration on the 23rd.
The two CEOs demonstrated Hampyeong's digital agricultural competitiveness by winning the grand prize in the live commerce category at the '2025 Jeollanam-do Farmers' Informatization Contest' held in August.
In addition, at the same contest, Moon Eunhee, CEO of 'Bulgapsan Honeybee Farm Honeybee Couple,' won the top prize in the live commerce category, and Hong Soonsang, CEO of 'Dolmeori Ajeossi,' won the top prize in the smart content category. With these achievements, Hampyeong County has been recognized as an award-winning local government in the Jeollanam-do Informatization Contest for three consecutive years.
At this national competition, the two CEOs will compete with outstanding farms from across the country in real-time communication and sales capabilities under the theme 'Camera ON, the Future of Farmers ON AIR!'
Every week, the two participants hold content planning meetings and practical rehearsals at the 'Smart Farm Study Room' of the Hampyeong County Agricultural Technology Center, meticulously preparing for the competition by recreating the broadcasting environment and thoroughly managing details such as lighting, sound, and product composition.
Advancing to the national competition is the result of years of live commerce and smart agriculture training programs. The county plans to further expand smart agriculture support projects to strengthen farmers' online marketing and brand promotion capabilities.
Lee Sangik, Governor of Hampyeong County, stated, "Participating in this national competition is not just about winning an award; it demonstrates that Hampyeong's digital capabilities in agriculture have grown to a national level. We will continue to enhance practical marketing education and on-site support for farmers to establish Hampyeong as a hub for the spread of smart agriculture."
