All Proceeds Donated to Local Youth Scholarships

The 14th Joint Bazaar of Three Religions for Sharing Love will take place in the Seongbuk-dong area of Seongbuk District, Seoul, on October 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This year's bazaar will transform an approximately 400-meter stretch from across the Seongbuk-dong Community Center to the entrance of Hongik University High School into a car-free street. Over 60 booths will participate, offering a rich variety of programs including food, hands-on experiences, and sales of clothing, daily necessities, and local specialties.

Christianity, Buddhism, and Catholicism Unite for Bazaar in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul on the 18th Last year's joint bazaar event of three religions. Provided by Seongbuk District.

Seongbuk-dong Catholic Church, which is organizing this event, adds special significance as it celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the same day, the 3rd Seongbuk-dong Three Religions Concert will be held, featuring a diverse lineup that transcends religious and generational boundaries, including popera, vocal and cello performances, and popular music acts.

The Joint Bazaar of Three Religions began in 2008 at the suggestion of Son Inwoong, the emeritus pastor of Deoksu Church. Since then, three religious organizations-Gilsangsa Temple (led by Chief Monk Deokjo), Deoksu Church (led by Senior Pastor Kim Manjun), and Seongbuk-dong Catholic Church (led by Chief Priest Kim Hyungmok Joseph)-have taken turns hosting the event each year, continuing this tradition for 14 years.

The event is held under the theme, "Though our religions differ, let us unite in love to serve our neighbors," and all proceeds are donated as the Love Sharing Scholarship for local youth.

Lee Seungro, Mayor of Seongbuk District, stated, "Seongbuk-dong is a symbolic area of harmony, where a temple, a church, and a cathedral stand side by side and have long fostered interfaith exchange and mutual visits. I hope this bazaar becomes a true festival that transcends religious boundaries and shares love with our neighbors."
