The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from each organization and Jeong Kimyung, Mayor of Yeosu and Chairman of the Organizing Committee. The agricultural organizations pledged to support the purchase of admission tickets to help ensure the successful hosting of the Expo and to encourage broader citizen participation. This marks the second instance of an agricultural organization participating in a pre-purchase agreement for admission tickets, following last week's agreement with the Yeosu Agricultural Friends Association.

A representative from the agricultural organizations stated, "As organizations representing Yeosu's agriculture, it is only natural for us to actively participate in this international event in our region. Farmers will also work together with one heart to ensure the success of the World Islands Expo."

Jeong Kimyung, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said, "I am grateful that the leading organizations in local agriculture have joined us. Moving forward, we will continue to encourage participation from all sectors of society to create an 'Expo with Citizens' for the World Islands Expo."

Meanwhile, the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo, under the theme "Islands: Connecting the Sea and the Future," is scheduled to take place from September 5 to November 4, 2026, in Jinmo District, Dolsan-eup, Geumo Island, Gae Island, and the Yeosu World Expo site.
