Plans to Return to Korea Soon
The whereabouts of a man in his 30s, who lost contact with his family after revealing he was headed to Cambodia, have been confirmed.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency on October 16, Mr. A (38), who departed for Thailand in December last year, informed his family this past May that he was going to Cambodia to work after meeting an acquaintance. When Mr. A lost contact with his family for over a month, his concerned relatives reported the case to the police.

Recently, the police were able to reach Mr. A by confirming his Telegram ID through an acquaintance residing in Cambodia. In response to a message from the police stating that his family was worried, Mr. A reportedly made a video call to his family to assure them that he was safe and not in any danger.
However, according to his family, Mr. A did not disclose what he was doing in Cambodia, only stating that he planned to return to Korea soon.
The police plan to close the investigation once Mr. A visits the Korean Embassy in person and his safety is officially confirmed.
