KT Partners with Disney+ to Launch "Genie TV Disney+ ModeunG"

KT announced on October 16 that it will launch the IPTV plan "Genie TV Disney+ ModeunG" on October 17, in partnership with global OTT provider Disney+. This new plan allows users to enjoy live channels, video-on-demand (VOD), and global OTT content all in one place.

This product integrates OTT services into the traditional channel-based IPTV offering, enabling users to access all content on a single platform. KT's strategy is to evolve Genie TV into an "all-in-one content platform."

The new plan includes a wide variety of content, from the latest movies to popular international series. Users will receive one new movie every weekend as a basic offering, with new releases such as "Murderer Report" and "King of Kings" being updated sequentially. In addition, users can enjoy movies like "Batman Begins," "Inception," and "Interstellar"; Korean TV content such as "Strongest Baseball 2" and "The Story of Manager Kim Working at a Major Company in Seoul"; as well as international hit series like "Friends" and "NCIS."

KT has introduced a "ModeunG Exclusive Menu" on the Genie TV home screen to enhance content accessibility. Through this menu, customers can easily view all available content and watch it instantly without advertisements or additional payments. The same service is also available on mobile phones and tablets via the "Genie TV Mobile App."

There are two plan options. "Genie TV ModeunG" (17,600 won per month) offers over 250 live channels and VOD content. "Genie TV Disney+ ModeunG" (21,500 won per month, based on an internet+IPTV bundle and a 3-year contract) includes Disney+ Standard service in addition to the above.

A special launch promotion is also available. Customers who subscribe between October 17 and January 31 next year will receive a monthly discount of 1,600 won, enabling them to enjoy Disney+ and all content for 19,900 won per month. Additionally, the first 1,000 customers to sign up online through KT.com will receive limited-edition Disney merchandise.
