Exploring New Cultural Directions for Revitalizing the Expo Site
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA, Acting President Hwang Hakbeom) announced on the 16th that it held a free music performance for visitors at the Yeosu World Expo Site Sky Tower on the 15th as part of the 'Art Road' performance presentation.
'Art Road' is an artist dispatch support project hosted by the Jeonnam Cultural Foundation. In order to promote the excellent facilities and attractions of the Expo site, the authority collaborated with local artists to share key achievements and explore new cultural directions for revitalizing the Expo site.

The event featured a variety of music performances related to the Yeosu World Expo Site, including "The Story Remembered by the Sea," the theme song of the 2012 Yeosu World Expo, the region's representative song "Yeosu Night Sea," and the newly created logo song "Bada, Ya (Night)."
In particular, the collaborative logo song "Bada, Ya (Night)," created by the authority and participating artists, was unveiled for the first time and drew significant attention. The song artistically expresses the beautiful night view and the atmosphere of the sea at the Expo site, and is meaningful in that it re-highlights the site's cultural value through music.
Additionally, the Sky Tower at the Yeosu World Expo Site, where the event was held, has been selected as a "Unique Venue" by Jeonnam Province and Yeosu City. Through this presentation, its value and potential as a distinctive local event space were once again proven.
Acting President Hwang Hakbeom stated, "This 'Art Road' performance presentation is a representative example showing that the Expo site is being reborn as a complex space where art and culture coexist. We will continue to work so that the Expo site can grow into a sustainable cultural and artistic platform through ongoing collaboration with local artists."
