LG Named Global Partner of Frieze London 2025
Showcasing Works by Seo Seo-ok on Transparent OLED TVs
Reimagined Through the Direction of Do Ho Seo and Eulho Seo
LG Electronics delivers the inspiration of traditional Korean ink abstract art through its OLED TVs at the world-renowned art fair, Frieze London.
From October 15 to 19, 2025, local time, LG Electronics is participating as a global partner at Frieze London 2025, held at Regent's Park in London, exhibiting the works of the late Seo Seo-ok (1919-2020), known as the founder of ink abstraction, on LG OLED TVs.
His eldest son, artist Do Ho Seo, presents media art that reinterprets original flat paintings such as "Cycle," "Rhythmic Vitality," "Endlessness," and "Sanjeong Analects" into vibrant short animations. Do Ho Seo is recognized as one of the most prominent Korean artists in the contemporary art world.

The second son, architect Eulho Seo, was responsible for designing the exhibition space. At the entrance, translucent fabric is hung, and behind it, eight transparent OLED TVs and eight OLED evo TVs are arranged in sequence, creating a unified artwork out of the entire space. The overlapping images displayed on the transparent OLED TVs and OLED evo TVs provide visitors with a unique sense of dimensionality.
On the right wall inside the exhibition, an 83-inch OLED evo TV screens a documentary showing the late Seo Seo-ok at work during his lifetime. On the left wall, the original work "Joyful Rain" is exhibited.
LG Electronics previously showcased Seo Seo-ok's works as media art at Frieze Seoul last year. This year, with global interest in K-content at an all-time high, the company aims to further promote the inspiration of Korean ink painting on the London stage.
To this end, a variety of art programs will be held throughout the city during Frieze London week. On October 15, at the National Gallery London, which recently entered into an official partnership with LG Electronics, the "LG OLED Art Evening" will be held, where Do Ho Seo will introduce to art professionals the process of transforming his father's works into media art.
Additionally, the Korean Cultural Centre UK will host a special exhibition featuring Seo Seo-ok's works and related documentaries on LG TVs. This aims to introduce the tradition and creativity of Korean art, as well as the harmony between art and technology, to London audiences.
Coinciding with Frieze London, the National Gallery London's "Unexpected Views," supported by LG Electronics, will also take place every week throughout October. These are talk sessions where artists and audiences discuss the artworks, and LG Electronics continues to support a variety of contemporary art projects highlighted by the National Gallery.
Since 2022, LG Electronics has participated as a global partner of Frieze, and through the outstanding picture quality of LG OLED TVs that vividly reproduce works of art, the company continues to strengthen its brand leadership as "the OLED TV that inspires artists and is preferred by art enthusiasts" through its ongoing "LG OLED Art" project.
Oh Hyewon, Executive Director of Experience Marketing for Media Entertainment Solutions (MS) at LG Electronics, said, "During Frieze London week, we will showcase the differentiated value of LG OLED TVs through a variety of OLED art projects, including exhibitions, further elevating the status of K-art and solidifying our brand leadership."
