Gyeonggi-do will hold a contest for disability human rights policy ideas.
The province announced that from October 16 to 29, it will host the "2025 Gyeonggi-do Disability Human Rights Policy Contest" to discover policy ideas aimed at improving disability-related systems, enhancing human rights in daily life, and raising public awareness.
The contest is open to any topic related to promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, including eliminating discrimination, guaranteeing equality, enhancing disability sensitivity, and improving public awareness.
Those wishing to participate can submit an application form and policy proposal through the Gyeonggi-do Integrated Contest website (https://www.gg.go.kr/gongmo).
The judging process will consist of a first-round document review and a second-round comprehensive evaluation, after which the final winners will be announced.
Gyeonggi-do will select one Grand Prize winner (certificate and a cash prize of 1.2 million won), one Excellence Award winner (certificate and a cash prize of 800,000 won), and two Encouragement Award winners (certificate and a cash prize of 500,000 won each).
Choi Sunsook, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Department of Welfare for Persons with Disabilities, said, "We expect this contest to generate a variety of policy ideas and make a practical contribution to promoting the rights of persons with disabilities and eliminating discrimination."
