A Korean woman was found dead near the Vietnam-Cambodia border, and police are currently investigating the circumstances.
The Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul announced on October 15 that a Korean woman in her 30s, identified as Ms. A, was discovered dead at an unspecified location near the Cambodia border in Vietnam on October 7.
Local police are investigating the cause of Ms. A's death. It has been reported that her body was handed over to her family after an autopsy was completed.
Korean police have also received a report from the bereaved family and have launched a preliminary investigation prior to formal charges.
The police are examining possible connections between Ms. A and a voice phishing criminal organization.
