Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) announced on October 15 that, under the supervision of Deputy Governor Kim Donggi, a joint on-site safety inspection was conducted at the festival venues of the "2025 Cheongdo Persimmon Festival and Cheongdo World Comedy Art Festival" to create a safe festival environment where both residents and tourists can enjoy themselves with peace of mind.
According to Cheongdo County, as festival preparations are nearing completion, on October 14, relevant agencies such as the police station, fire station, and the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation and Korea Gas Safety Corporation, as well as the safety management advisory group and related departments in charge of traffic, sanitation, and health, participated in the safety inspection.
They shared information on vulnerabilities and discussed immediate improvement plans, making thorough preparations in advance to ensure the success of the festivals.
The main inspection areas included the installation of earth leakage circuit breakers and electrical wiring safety, the safety of stages and surrounding facilities, fire safety measures, gas fire safety facilities, and traffic and police safety in the event of congestion. Each area was closely inspected using a standard checklist, with a focus on preventing all types of safety accidents that could occur during the festivals.
Deputy Governor Kim Donggi stated, "Based on the results of the inspections in each area, I ask that all relevant departments promptly address any issues before the festivals begin, so that we can ensure a safe start. Beginning with this joint safety inspection, please do your utmost in your respective areas to ensure that not a single safety accident occurs until the festivals conclude."
