The Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency conducted safety training for supervisors at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute from the 13th to the 15th.
This training focused on strengthening the safety management capabilities of educational institution leaders in the Busan area and establishing a culture of safety in local educational settings. Jung Jongdeuk, the head of the headquarters, personally delivered a special lecture under the engaging theme, "Changing Your Perspective on Safety Can Transform Your School," emphasizing that creating a safe environment in schools begins with a shift in the awareness of administrators.
In particular, the training explained health management measures for kitchen staff, as well as various accident cases and prevention strategies, in an easy-to-understand storytelling format. It strongly advocated that workplace health and safety practices can and should be applied in educational settings as well.
The program also included an on-site experience corner where participants could try on safety harnesses, a type of industrial safety equipment, to practice the necessity of safety training and the proper use of equipment. Participants showed high interest and satisfaction in this hands-on training, which is rarely available, and it was evaluated as a positive opportunity to further strengthen school safety management in the Busan area.
