Korea Investment & Securities Expands Strategic Partnership with UK Man Group

Korea Investment & Securities announced on the morning of the 15th that it had met with global asset management firm Man Group to discuss expanding the supply of global financial products in Korea and future directions for collaboration.

Man Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, manages approximately 193 billion US dollars (about 277 trillion Korean won) in assets worldwide. The company is recognized for offering innovative multi-credit management solutions based on a variety of alternative investment strategies, including absolute return funds, macro strategies, structured bonds, and private debt.

The meeting was attended by Kim Sung-hwan, President of Korea Investment & Securities, Robin Groo, CEO of Man Group, and other key executives. Robin Groo is a global finance expert who previously worked at Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, and Man Group GLG Partners, and was appointed as the global CEO of Man Group in 2023. During the meeting, participants discussed specific directions for cooperation, including outlooks for domestic and global investment markets, strategies for investor-tailored products in Korea, and the development of new joint products.

Korea Investment & Securities described this meeting as a significant milestone, noting that it was an example of the Man Group CEO personally visiting Korea to meet with a domestic securities firm. The company added that the meeting served as an important opportunity to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two sides and to introduce advanced financial services. Korea Investment & Securities has already been proactively collaborating with Man Group since last year, launching monthly-distribution public offering funds such as the Korea Investment Man Dynamic Income Fund.

Kim Sung-hwan, President of Korea Investment & Securities, said, "We discussed ways to improve domestic investors' access to global credit products and to expand the investment scope to various regions, including Europe and Asia. In particular, we are working with Man Group to develop and launch financial products that invest in Asian equities. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen Korea Investment & Securities' differentiated global product lineup and build a value-driven, productive financial ecosystem where both investors and the company can grow together."
