Operating "Coding Education Competency Enhancement Training" for Teachers
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Educational Research and Information Institute (Director Yoo Youngok) will operate the "2025 Coding Education Competency Enhancement Training" to strengthen teachers' coding and artificial intelligence education capabilities in response to the era of digital transformation based on AI and data.
This training program has been designed to enhance teachers' hands-on coding skills and teaching expertise, as well as to support the effective integration of coding and software education within school curricula.
The training consists of two courses: ▲ the "Busan EduOne 2.0 Coding Education Competency Enhancement Training" and ▲ the "High School Artificial Intelligence Basic Class Competency Enhancement Training."
The "Busan EduOne 2.0 Coding Education Competency Enhancement Training" will be conducted online from October 14 to 16, targeting elementary, middle, and high school teachers. The program features hands-on learning centered on new coding and AI content available on the Busan EduOne 2.0 platform, such as "AI Explorers," "Solving Community Problems with Entry," and the "Python Data Analysis Workbook." Through this, teachers will be supported in easily applying what they learn to their classrooms.
The "High School Artificial Intelligence Basic Class Competency Enhancement Training" will be held in person at the Busan Educational Research and Information Institute every Saturday from October to December, for a total of five sessions (20 class hours).
Targeting middle and high school information teachers, the program focuses on practical learning of core AI algorithms such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning, CNN, and YOLO, aiming to strengthen teachers' ability to apply these concepts in actual classes.
Director Yoo Youngok of the Educational Research and Information Institute stated, "AI and coding education are no longer optional but essential skills," and added, "I hope this training will help teachers develop the expertise to practically apply coding languages and algorithms in their classes, thereby contributing to the enhancement of students' computational thinking skills."
