Promotional materials and “Nemo News” (card news) related to Hangeul Day and public language improvement were posted on the large electronic display on the first floor of the provincial office and on its website, while a “crossword puzzle” event was held for social media subscribers.
In particular, on the 15th, the provincial office distributed promotional materials highlighting the excellence of Hangeul and the significance of Hangeul Day, and held a “public language improvement puzzle” event at the first-floor entrance for its staff, aiming to promote proper public language use.
Employees who participated in the event shared their impressions, saying, “It was an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of Hangeul Day and understand why public institutions need to use proper public language.”
Kim Jingyu, Public Relations Officer, stated, “Public language is the first channel of communication with the residents, and using clear and correct Korean is the starting point for trusted education in Gangwon. Through this event, we hope everyone recognizes the value of Hangeul and our language, and that an environment for using clear and proper public language will be established.”
