Hamyang County Conducts Training for 2025 Population and Housing Census Workers

Census to Begin for 5,302 Households in the County Starting October 22

Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on October 15 that it will conduct training for census workers in the county office's main conference room to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2025 Population and Housing Census.

The Population and Housing Census is a national statistical survey conducted every five years. It collects comprehensive information on the population, households, and housing, and serves as foundational data for various policy-making and administrative planning processes.

This year is especially significant as it marks the 100th anniversary of the census. To commemorate this milestone, an event will be held in which respondents will have the chance to win prizes through a lottery.

About 40 people, including county officials and census workers, will participate in this training. The training will focus on practical skills such as safety protocols during fieldwork, guidelines for interacting with respondents, and electronic survey methods using tablet computers (PCs).

The census period will run from October 22 to November 18, targeting 5,302 households, which accounts for 20% of all households in the county.

All households can participate in the online survey throughout the entire census period. For households that do not participate online, census workers will visit in person to conduct field surveys starting November 1.
