192 Vehicles, Including G90 and G80, to Be Provided
Hyundai Motor Group will provide official protocol vehicles to support the successful hosting of the APEC Summit, which is being held in South Korea for the first time in 20 years.
On October 15, Hyundai Motor Group announced that it had signed a financial business agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ APEC Summit Preparatory Planning Team to provide vehicles for the 2025 APEC Summit (APEC 2025 Korea) and the Joint Ministerial Meeting on Foreign Affairs and Trade.
During the event, Hyundai Motor Group will provide a total of 192 vehicles for the protocol of heads of state and their spouses. By model, this includes 11 units of the G90, 74 units of the G80, 3 units of the Universe hydrogen electric bus, and 2 units of the Universe mobile office, among others.
The APEC Summit brings together leaders and government delegations from 21 member economies in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as key figures from the business community, to discuss current issues and the future in areas such as economy, trade, and diplomacy. This year, the event will be held in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, over two days from October 31 to November 1.
This APEC Summit is particularly significant as it is the first to be held in South Korea in 20 years since the 2005 summit in Busan. As the host country, Korea will lead the event under the theme “Building a Sustainable Tomorrow: Connect, Innovate, Prosper.”
Prior to the summit, the Joint Ministerial Meeting on Foreign Affairs and Trade will also take place in Gyeongju from October 29 to 30, where APEC member ministers will gather to discuss key issues and cooperation measures in the fields of diplomacy and trade.
Hyundai Motor Group plans to use this diplomatic stage, where leaders, ministers, and CEOs from major countries and companies will gather, as an opportunity to showcase its vehicles and highlight their outstanding product quality to the world.
Kim Ilbeom, Executive Vice President of the Global Policy Office at Hyundai Motor Company, stated, “We are honored to support the APEC Summit, which is being held in Korea for the first time in 20 years, with Hyundai Motor Group vehicles. We will do our utmost to contribute to the successful hosting of the APEC Summit.”
