Hana Bank announced on the 15th that it had signed a strategic business agreement with Dankkumai Co., Ltd., the operator of the leading domestic elementary education platform 'Dankkum-e', at its Euljiro headquarters.

This agreement marks the first exclusive partnership between Hana Bank and Dankkumai Co., Ltd. in the financial sector and aims to introduce a new digital educational and cultural experience for future generations.

In particular, users can enjoy the engaging 'Book Lecture Series' by Korea’s renowned history storyteller Seol Minsuk on the Playground page within Hana Bank’s flagship mobile app, Hana OneQ.

In addition, the 'Ibuja' app, an experiential financial platform for Generation Alpha, will offer video content of 'Elementary Mathematics Lectures' by top math instructor Jung Seungje. Through this, Hana Bank plans to expand opportunities for both children and parents to access educational content in an easy and enjoyable way.

Hana Bank intends for this agreement to go beyond simply providing content, closely linking it with its digital customer acquisition strategy. By integrating educational content into its digital platforms, the bank aims to enable parents and children to naturally experience Hana Bank’s digital services.

Through this business agreement, Hana Bank and Dankkumai plan to pursue various collaborative initiatives, including: providing differentiated digital platform services that encompass both finance and education; innovating customer experiences based on content; and hosting events featuring top instructors for children and parents.

Lee Hosung, CEO of Hana Bank, stated, “This agreement is a meaningful first step in creating new value by connecting finance and education. Through this exclusive partnership, Hana Bank will provide a differentiated customer experience and actively secure future growth engines by innovating digital customer experiences.”

Meanwhile, Hana Bank has been carrying out various activities to create social and environmental value, including an agreement signed in February 2025 with Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation to develop eco-friendly goods using discarded banknotes, as part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives. The partnership with Dankkumai is also regarded as a key strategic move by Hana Bank for a sustainable future.
